Welcome to HummerH2.com. |

The Hummer H2 was offered with an introduction price roughly half of the H1, around 50,000 US dollars, which made it comparable to many of the higher end SUVs in that year, and made it far more affordable to those who wanted the look of the Hummer without the price of the H1. Built on the same platform as the Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Suburban, the H2 provided off road ability with a touch of class, and far more comfort than the H1. Following suit of the H1, which offers several different forms of the basic vehicle, the H2T, equipped with a small pick-up truck bed was released in 2004.

Unlike the Hummer H1 with its range of powerful diesel engines, the Hummer H2 comes equipped with only one engine, but the powerful 6.0L gasoline powered V8 has proven to be a fine match for the H2. Mated to a heavy duty Hydra-Matic 4L65-E automatic transmission, this 6.0 liter engine makes 325 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. While the H2 may not have the massive amounts of power and torque as the larger H1, the drivetrain of the H2 allows for a smooth quiet ride on the open road, but still has plenty of power to tear up a mountain trail or a romp through a muddy off road course.
